Simon Morrison is a writer, director, and editor based in New York City.

The grandson of a Holocaust survivor and the son of a documentary filmmaker and radical economics professor, he grew up in a home where storytelling, creativity, and politics shaped his perspective from an early age. After beginning his career as an actor, Simon transitioned into filmmaking, bringing a performance-first approach to his work and crafting emotionally grounded films that balance intimacy, humor, and a rich visual language.

Alongside directing and editing commercial work for brands including Converse, Omega, Riot Games, and Away, he is writing and developing narrative and experimental films. Drawn to eccentric, creative, and deeply flawed characters, his work examines grief, memory, and complex family dynamics through a humorous, philosophical lens.

Whether directing for brands, artists, or narrative, Simon's work is rooted in character, atmosphere, and emotional honesty.

His debut narrative short film, Fur, was completed in 2025, and he is currently developing his first feature film alongside an accompanying proof-of-concept short.
